Harvest Hockey Hooky Game

Andrukow Group Solutions and Camrose Kodiaks come together to salute agriculture in Alberta with inaugural ‘Harvest Hockey Hooky’ AJHL game.

Camrose, AB – Andrukow Group Solutions Incorporated (AGSI) and the AJHL’s Camrose Kodiaks have partnered together for a special salute to Alberta farmers with the first ever ‘Harvest Hockey Hooky’ game.

The event brings two deep-rooted pillars of Alberta tradition and culture together, farming and hockey. On Tuesday, November 25th, the Camrose Kodiaks face-off against the Drumheller Dragons at 4:00pm at the Encana Arena in Camrose. More than two thousand free tickets will be given out to farmers, agricultural societies, 4-H and school groups, and agricultural stakeholders as a way of saying thank-you for the tireless efforts put in year on year to not only provide food for an ever-growing global population, but also ensure Alberta’s rich agricultural history remains strong for generations to come.

The game itself is the centrepiece of the event, but attendees will be treated to many other special additions, including a mini-tradeshow, charity puck toss, give-aways, a guaranteed $5000 50/50 draw, professional Emcee and author Danny Hooper will bring his hosting talents to the event (and provide a few surprises), and even a special appearance by the Team Canada men’s 2014 Tim Horton’s Brier Champion John Morris rink out of Calgary.

Says AGSI Marketing Director Keynon Ternovoy: ‘It’s a way for us to give back and say thank-you to integral members of our communities – our farmers and their families – whose tireless efforts don’t always receive the recognition they deserve. And, what better way to do that by bringing together a celebration of harvest and the game of hockey.

Camrose Kodiaks General Manager and Coach Boris Rybalka couldn’t agree more, “We’re extremely excited to be a part of this, and to be hosting the first-ever event of this kind in Alberta is great. It’s going to be a lot of fun.’

The game is co-sponsored by Vision Credit Union, Bayer CropScience, and 790 CFCW.

To purchase a limited number of tickets still available, please contact the Camrose Kodiaks ticket-office at 780-679-2603. For additional information on the event, please contact Keynon Ternovoy at 780-390-0262 or kternovoy@agsiag.com.
