HIDESHIMA COMMITS TO U OF A GOLDEN BEARS

The Camrose Kodiaks are proud to announce that Junshi Hideshima has committed to the University of Alberta Golden Bears next season.

The 2005 Edmonton native joined the Kodiaks last season after being acquired in a trade with the Olds Grizzlys. Hideshima has recorded 54 points in 52 games with the Kodiaks so far this season.

Hideshima shared, “I couldn’t imagine a better place to continue both my hockey career and academics than the University of Alberta. Growing up in Edmonton, becoming a Golden Bear has always been a dream of mine. Seeing firsthand the culture and success of the program made this decision an easy one. I’m incredibly grateful to my family, friends, teammates, and the Kodiaks organization for their constant support in helping me reach this point.”

Kodiaks General Manager Eric Kroetch added, “I couldn’t be happier for such a great young man who comes to the rink every day striving to make himself and those around him better. Junshi brings excitement to the game with his agility, work ethic, and determination. Those qualities will continue to help him succeed at the next level.”

The Camrose Kodiaks in partner with United Sport & Cycle would like to congratulate Junshi and his family on this well deserved news.
