Howe Commits to U of L

The Brooks Bandits are proud to announce 21 year old graduate Brett Howe has committed to the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns for the upcoming season. Located in Lethbridge, Alberta the Pronghorns have a long and storied history playing in the CIS.

Brett is originally from Eston, Saskatchewan but relocated with his family to Lethbridge during his minor hockey years. Brett played in the Lethbridge Athletic Association for 3 seasons before starting his junior career in the BCHL. The Bandits acquired Brett from the Quesnel Millionaires in 2010 and from that point he produced 67 points in 75 games during his time in Brooks.

Head Coach/GM Ryan Papaioannou – “Brett is the type of person that we needed to add to our organization in 2010 and he was an asset during his time in Brooks. I had familiarity with Brett coaching him in both AA and AAA Midget so it was an easy decision to bring him to our program. He was our Captain last season and has tremendous leadership abilities. Brett will continue to do well with the Pronghorns in both school and hockey.”

The Bandits Organization would like to thank Brett for his hard working seasons in Brooks and representing us as team captain over the past season.
Brett is the 7th Bandit to commit to post secondary hockey this season.
