The Fort McMurray Oil Barons are excited to announce that 2000-born forward Hunter Leslie (Red Deer, AB) has committed to the Concordia Thunder of the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC). Leslie’s commitment will begin in fall 2020.
The 20-year-old Leslie was acquired by the Oil Barons last season, in an early season trade with the Olds Grizzlys. In 44 games with the Oil Barons, Leslie recorded 10 points (six goals, four assists).
As the season went on and moved into the playoffs, Leslie played a prominent role down the stretch. His strong two-way game, high work ethic, and ability to move up and down the line up provided balance and versatility to the Oil Barons’ forward corps.
The Oil Barons would like to congratulate Hunter on his commitment to Concordia University. We wish Hunter and the entire Leslie family all the best in the future.
