The Blackfalds Bulldogs are thrilled to announce that 2004-born forward Jayden Joly has committed to Western Michigan University.
“I am very honoured and excited to announce my commitment to Western Michigan University,” said Joly. “I would like to thank my family, friends and coaches for all of the support over the years to get me to this point.”
The Fort Saskatchewan, AB product has recorded eight goals and 12 assists in 42 games this season with the Bulldogs.
“The Bulldogs are very excited for Jayden as this is a huge day for him and his family,” said Bulldogs Assistant GM Adam West.
“Jayden has embodied what it means to be a Bulldog from day one – being a great person, teammate, working hard to grow and develop both on and off the ice. We’re very happy for him.”
Prior to joining the Bulldogs, Joly tallied four points in four games during the 2020-21 campaign with the Fort Saskatchewan Rangers U18 AAA team.
Joly and the Bulldogs will look for their third straight win Friday night on home ice when they entertain the Olds Grizzlys at the Eagle Builders Centre. Friday’s game gets underway at 7 p.m.
The Bulldogs finish their weekend Saturday when they host the Olds Grizzlys in the conclusion of the weekend series.
