The Fort McMurray Oil Barons are pleased to announce that 20 year old defenceman Josh Lee (Edmonton, AB) has committed to attend and play for the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) for the upcoming 2011-2012 season.
Josh was acquired at the trade deadline by the Oil Barons to complete his final year of junior eligibility. Over his career, Josh played in 253 regular season and playoff games where he accumulated 44 goals and 103 assists. His impact was felt immediately by the Oil Barons as Josh contributed not only on the ice, but was a positive role model in the dressing room. He played in all situations and was a very valuable member of the team during its playoff run this year.
The Oil Barons’ organization would like to congratulate Josh and his family and wish him all the best in his future endeavours both academically and athletically. Josh becomes the 5th Fort McMurray Oil Baron to secure a commitment from a post-secondary institution.
