Twenty year-old defenseman Josh Martin has committed to Marian University in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin for next season. Josh came to the Eagles late in the season but made an immediate impact on the Eagles’ blueline. Josh brought an exemplary work ethic to the rink and proved to be a valuable leader in the Eagles dressing room.
Marian head coach Jasen Wise said, “We are excited to see Josh in a Marian jersey this fall. His leadership and work ethic will be a great addition to our blue line and hockey program. He’s committed to the game of hockey and will help us compete on a national level.”
“Josh had an immediate impact on our hockey club, his leadership and Junior experience is something that will serve him well as he embarks on the NCAA adventure. I am sure he will have the same impact on Marian as he did with our hockey club; we wish Josh all the best and thank him for his time here in Canmore,” said Eagles head coach Andrew Milne.
“I would like to thank everyone in the Eagles organization for the best three months of my junior career. I cannot say enough about the support I received from the coaches and the people in the community. In four years of junior hockey, I played for five different teams, but I will always consider myself a Canmore Eagle. Thanks to everyone and best of luck to the Canmore Eagles moving forward,” said Josh.
