Juneau Commits to University of British Columbia

The Bonnyville Pontiacs are pleased to announce that 20-year-old graduate forward, Marc-Antoine Juneau (Fossambault-sur-le-lac, Quebec) has committed to attend the University of British Columbia commencing the fall 2011.

The 5’10” 160 pound Juneau joined the Pontiacs for the 2008-2009 season where he appeared in 42 games before suffering a season ending injury. After a summer dedicated to rehabbing his knee, Juneau returned to become a key contributor to the Pontiacs offence. After three seasons, Juneau registered 110 career points (46G, 64A) in 152 games.

The University of British Columbia Thunderbirds (CIS) play in the Canada West Universities Athletic Association. Marc becomes the fifth Pontiac from the 2010-2011 team to commit to a post-secondary institution in order to combine academics and athletics.

The Pontiacs would like to congratulate Marc and his family. We wish you much success in your future at the University of British Columbia.
