The Spruce Grove Saints are pleased to announce that Josh Keizer has committed to the Milwaukee School of Engineering for the 2011/2012 season. Josh spent the last three years with the Saints, experiencing three Enerflex Cup Finals and two Enerflex Cup Championships. Keizer scored 42 times and added 45 assists for 87 points as a member of the Saints. Josh will join his brother Jordan in a Raider uniform where he will continue his hockey career while pursuing a degree in electrical engineering. Josh is the 10th member of the 2010/2011 Saints roster to have committed to a post secondary institution.
“I am very excited to move on and play college,” says Keizer. I will miss Spruce Grove and playing for the organization where I had success. I had a lot of fun and I would like to thank my parents Mike and Cathy, all of my coaches and the Saints organization for helping me get to the next level.”
“Josh exemplifies everything it means to be a Saint on and off the ice,” praises Saints Head Coach and General Manager Jason McKee. “His attention to detail and ability to execute the little things makes him effective and separates him from other players. Josh is a very dependable two-way forward that every coach loves to have in their line-up. The Raiders program is getting a very well rounded and mature young man that is sure to make an immediate impact.”
