The Spruce Grove Saints are proud to announce 1993 born Kenny Cameron, has committed to play for the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) Ooks for the 2014-15 season. The NAIT Ooks are a member and perennial power in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC).
Hailing from Calgary and in his second year with the Saints, Kenny came to Spruce Grove after playing a season in the WHL with the Medicine Hat Tigers. In his 2nd season with the Saints, Kenny has totaled some very impressive numbers with a 2.19 GAA and a .916 SAV %.
“Kenny has been an integral part of the Saints organization for the past two seasons. His poise and demeanor in the net, has been a very calming influence throughout our team in pressure situations,” states Saints Head Coach Jason McKee. “A quiet leader within our dressing room, Kenny has a high level of compete within him, and always gives our players a solid effort while in the crease.”
“I would like to thank the Saints organization for the opportunity they have given me the past two seasons. I would also like to thank my coaches for their leadership, and teammates for all of their support. This has allowed me to continue my hockey career with the NAIT Ooks hockey program,” says Kenny Cameron.
The Saints organization would like to congratulate Kenny and his family on this step in his career, and wish him continued success moving forward with the NAIT Ooks.
Kenny Cameron is the Saints 5th player to commit to a post secondary institution this season.
