Graduating Okotoks Oilers forward Zeth Kindrachuk (Calgary, AB) has committed to attend and play for Albertus Magnus College, beginning in the 2023-24 NCAA season, it was announced today.
Kindrachuk, 20, was the Oilers’ fourth-highest scoring player this past season, recording 39 points (15 goals, 24 assists) in 55 games, and added 5 points (3 goals, 2 assists) in 7 playoff games.
Located in New Haven, Connecticut, the Albertus Magnus Falcons play in the NCAA’s Division III as an independent.
“Zeth showed an awesome work ethic and came into our club as a leader immediately,” said Oilers head coach and general manager Tyler Deis. “Coming here for his twenty-year old year, he exceeded our expectations and we know Albertus Magnus is going to benefit just as much as we did from his hard work. His game elevated in the playoffs and he was a big reason for our team success.”
Kindrachuk was acquired in the 2022 off-season after spending the prior two seasons with the Cranbrook Bucks of the BCHL, to whom he was recruited from the U18 AAA Calgary Royals.
