Kodiaks’ Sam Jardine Commits to Ohio State University

The Camrose Kodiaks are pleased to announce that 17-year-old defenseman Sam Jardine (Lacombe, AB) has committed to attend Ohio State University (Central Collegiate Hockey Association). Sam is currently in his first season with the Kodiaks. Sam becomes the second Kodiak to commit to Ohio State, joining team mate Ben Gallacher.

“Sam’s talent speaks for itself” says G.M. / Coach Boris Rybalka. “He and his team had a very successful season last year in Red Deer and that helped to expose him to many of the best hockey programs south of the border. It was just a matter of Sam and his family spending some time looking at all of their options, and choosing the program that was the best fit for Sam.”

The Kodiaks would like to congratulate Sam and his family. We are extremely proud of Sam and his accomplishments, and look forward to his continued contribution to our program in preparation for what is sure to be a very successful collegiate career. We know Sam will become a great asset to Coach Osiecki and the Ohio State Buckeyes.
