Before the AJHL championship series got underway, Camrose Kodiaks coach Boris Rybalka predicted it would be a goaltenders series.
Monday night, Dalyn Flette proved Rybakla right.
Flette was sensational with his first shutout of the Enerflex Cup playoffs to beat the heavily-favoured Spruce Grove Saints 2-0 at the Edgeworth Centre.
The mostly-delighted crowd of 1,705 included some Saints fans who make the two-hour trek from Spruce Grove.
Even though Spruce Grove still holds a 2-1 advantage in the AJHL championship final, the Kodiaks have now put some doubt into the outcome of this series.
