The Camrose Kodiaks, members of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL), are proud to announce Zach Vinnell has committed to play NCAA Division I collegiate hockey at Merrimack College.
Head Coach and General Manager Boris Rybalka had this to say about Vinnell’s commitment, “We are excited for Zach and his family. This young man has a bright future ahead of him and the Warriors have found themselves a great player and person. We believe that Zach will be great for Merrimack. We’ve had many great young men go to Merrimack in the past that went on to have great collegiate careers. Congratulations Zach, you are well deserving of this, we are all proud of you.”
Vinnell is in his third season with the Kodiaks and has posted 1 goal and 7 assists in 9 games this season. The 6’1, 176lb defenseman has played in 122 AJHL games, where he has put up 12 goals and 63 assists. Vinnell was excited about his commitment and said, “I would like to thank my family, coaching staff, teammates and the Kodiaks organization for helping me get to the next level. I am very grateful for this opportunity to continue my hockey and academic career with a great program.”
