Kromm Commits to Wisconsin Stevens Point

The Okotoks Oilers are pleased to announce that forward Alex Kromm has committed to the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point Pointers.

Alex played for the Oilers for almost two seasons after being acquired in December of the 2010-2011 season from the Calgary Mustangs. Alex recorded 58 points in 67 career regular season games with Okotoks, and 112 points overall in his 3-year AJHL career.

“Alex will be a great addition to the UW Stevens Point program as they will be getting a gritty, skilled forward that does all the little things needed that make the difference at the end of the night between wins & losses,” states Oilers Head Coach James Poole. “We are proud to say Alex was an Oiler as he put his body on the line for his team and teammates on a nightly basis and wish him all the best in his future endeavors both academically and athletically.”

Alex becomes the 6th player from the 2011-2012 Oilers committed to an NCAA program.
