Lloydminster Native Jeff Lorenz Commits to Augustana

The Lloydminster Jr. ‘A’ Bobcats are proud to announce that 20 year old forward Jeff Lorenz has accepted a scholarship and is committed to play for the University of Alberta – Augustana Vikings Men’s Hockey Progam. The Augustana Vikings play in the Alberta Collegiate Athletic Conference (ACAC), and won the ACAC Championship in the 2011-2012 season. Jeff plans to pursue a degree in Business.

Born and raised in Lloydminster, Jeff is a veteran of two seasons with the Bobcats, where he collected 24 goals and 37 assists for 61 points in 93 games. Jeff came to the Bobcats in 2010-2011 in a trade with the Nipawin Hawks of the SJHL. Over his 3 year Jr. ‘A’ career, Jeff scored 33 goals and 65 assists for 98 points in 134 games, while also accumulating a total of 361 penalty minutes.

The Bobcats organization would like to congratulate Jeff and his family and wish him all the best in his future endeavours both academically and athletically.

The Bobcats have now committed eight players from the team’s 2011-2012 roster to post-secondary hockey programs.
