Calgary Canucks forward Harper LoLacher is the Canalta Hotels AJHL Player of the Week for January 12th-18th, 2026. The 2005-born veteran scored a hat trick and recorded five points in an 8-4 win over the Drayton Valley Thunder on January 17th, including his third game winning goal of the season. LoLacher was also awarded as the Bunge AJHL Player of the Game for his season-high performance.
Harper LoLacher leads the Canucks with 50 points (33G, 17A) and is sixth overall in AJHL scoring.
The Alberta Ford Dealers AJHL Defensive Player of the Week is Jaxan Hopko of the Lloydminster Bobcats. The hometown defenceman posted a league leading six points (2G, 4A) over three games and has built a four-game point streak.
Hopko (2006) was awarded as the Bunge AJHL Player of the Game with a four-point (2G, 2A) game in a 6-3 win versus the Bonnyville Pontiacs on January 14th. He added an assist in a 4-3 loss to the Camrose Kodiaks on January 16th and another assist in the rematch the next night in a 2-1 win.
Bonnyville Pontiacs forward Gavin Harrison has been selected as the Inter Pipeline AJHL Rookie of the Week for a second time in the 2025-26 season. The 16 year-old rookie scored three goals and four points in two games and has compiled a five-game point streak. The Swift Current Broncos (WHL) draft pick currently leads all AJHL rookies in scoring with 35 points in 34 regular season games.
Harrison (Cold Lake, AB) recorded a goal and an assist in the 6-3 road loss to the Bobcats on January 14th, then scored two goals in a 4-3 win versus the Devon Xtreme on the weekend. Gavin was selected as the Bunge AJHL Player of the Game in the win.
