LUCAS LEMIEUX COMMITS TO RPI

Camrose, AB – The Camrose Kodiaks are very excited to announce that Lucas Lemieux (2005) has committed to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (NCAA Div. I).  Lemieux is in his first season with the Kodiaks and came to the Kodiaks from SSAC in Edmonton, AB.

Kodiaks Head Coach Clayton Jardine says,” Lucas has been asked to play in all situations for us this year as a 17 year old and he has excelled at it. He is a great young man who is coachable and hard working. He thinks the game at a very high level and we are lucky to have him”.

Lucas adds, “I am proud and excited to announce my commitment to play division one hockey and further my education at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Thanks most of all to my parents and brothers for always believing in me. Also, thanks to my teammates, billets, advisor and coaches for believing in me and helping me become the player I am today. Huge thanks to the Camrose Kodiaks organization for pushing me to reach my goals.”

Lucas joins other Kodiaks Ryan Sullivan (Colgate University), Callum Gau (Augustana University), Cooper Sharp (Union), and Freddie Halyk (Denver University) as Kodiaks that have committed to a Division I NCAA Program this season.

The Kodiaks organization would like to congratulate Lucas, his family, and his billet family on his commitment!
