Montesano Commits To Providence College

The Bonnyville Pontiacs are pleased to announce that 20-year-old forward, Matt Montesano (West Bridgewater, Mass) has verbally committed to attend Providence College beginning the fall of 2011.

Montesano, a 6’1″ 175 pound left shot center, joined the Pontiacs for 2010-2011. In his only season in Bonnyville, Montesano appeared in 58 regular season games contributing 54 points (25 goals, 29 assists). He also posted 9 points in nine playoff games.

Based in Providence, Rhode Island, the Providence College Friars play Division I in the NCAA’s Hockey East Conference.

The Pontiacs would like to congratulate Matt and his family, and wish him much success at Providence College.

Montesano becomes the eighth player from the 2010-2011 Pontiacs to commit to a post-secondary institution to continue their pursuit of education and athletics.
