Okotoks, AB ? The Okotoks Oilers of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) are proud to announce that 2000 born defenceman Noah Kim (Fullerton, California) has committed to the Air Force Falcons.

Located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the Falcons play in the NCAA?s Atlantic Hockey Association under Head Coach Frank Serratore who?s been coaching the Falcons for 23 years. The Falcons have won two Conference Championships and participated in seven NCAA Tournaments with their most recent appearance in 2018.

Kim, 19, in his sophomore season in the AJHL and first full season with the Oilers, has 52 points (12 goals, 40 assists) in 47 games played.

In the 2018-19 Season, Kim had 11 points (1 goal, 10 assists) in 19 games played with the Calgary Mustangs along with five points (5 assists) in five Inter Pipeline Cup Playoff games with the Mustangs

Oilers Head Coach / General Manager / Director of Hockey Development Tyler Deis says Kim?s presence on the Green & Gold?s blue line has helped develop their core and allow their team to have success this season.

?When we were able to add Noah to our roster during the off-season, we knew we had an incredible skill set coming to the line-up,? he says. ?Not only is Air Force getting a great defenceman for their hockey team, but they are also getting a special individual to join their program and we have no doubts that he?ll make a fine addition to the Falcons.?

Noah is the second Oiler in franchise history to join the Falcons and the US Air Force, following in Derrick Burnett?s footsteps.

Kim says he can?t wait to join the Falcons and the opportunities that lie ahead.

?The opportunity to play Division I hockey and get an amazing education is the best of both worlds,? he says. ?I would like to pursue engineering there and maybe look into flying as well. I just feel so privileged to be able to commit to the Air Force. I want to thank my family, friends and the Oilers Organization for supporting me every step of the way.?

The Oilers would like to congratulate Noah and his family on his achievement and thank them for their dedication to our program and the Foothills community both on and off the ice.

Since the puck dropped on the 2019-20 Season, the Oilers have six (6) players committed to NCAA Division I Schools.  Kim is the ninth Oiler on the 2019-20 roster committed to an NCAA Division I Institution along with:
