NOLAN FLINT COMMITS TO MARIAN UNIVERSITY

The Okotoks Oilers of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) are happy to announce that 2002-born forward Nolan Flint (Beaverlodge, AB) has committed to attend and play for Marian University, beginning in the 2023-24 NCAA season.

Located in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, the Marian Sabres play in the Division III Northern Collegiate Hockey Association.

Flint, 21, played more games than any other Oiler over the last two seasons, missing only five regular season games and recording 44 points (20 goals, 24 assists) in that span.

“Nolan was a tremendous contributor to our culture and to our team,” said Oilers head coach and general manager Tyler Deis. “He displayed the kind of character we try to instill in all our players, and set a great example for future Oilers to follow. We’re extremely happy to see him continue his athletic and academic careers at a quality institution like Marian.”

The 6’3″, 200lbs forward was recruited to the Oilers in the shortened 2020-21 season, after posting 29 points in 32 games for the U18 AAA Grande Prairie Storm the year prior.
