Oil Barons Look to Join Dragons in Gas Drive Cup Final

North Division Finals Game #5: Spruce Grove vs. Fort McMurray (Oil Barons lead 3-1)

The Spruce Grove Saints will need to find a way to win at home to stay alive in the North Division finals after they lost game four in Fort McMurray on Tuesday night.

Last year the Fort McMurray Oil Barons were eliminated in the first round, this year they have a chance to play the Drumheller Dragons in the Gas Drive Cup Finals, but first they need to find a way to pick up one more win against the Saints.

This series in all reality should be 3-1 Saints or 2-2, but Tanner Jaillet has stolen two games from the Saints in this series.

If the Oil Barons are going to advance they will need Jaillet to likely steal another game.

With the way the Saints have been playing in this series it should be just a matter of time before the break through and are able to get a couple of victories.

The problem for the Saints is they are out of time and need to win the remaining three games in the series in order to defend their North Division title.

The Saints are 4-1 (since 2006) when facing elimination at home in the post season.

The Oil Barons are 11-6 (since 2006) on the road when they have a chance of advancing in the playoffs.

Puck drop in Spruce Grove will be at 7:00pm.
