The Alberta Ford Dealers AJHL Player of the Month for March 2021 is forward Michael Hodge of the Fort McMurray Oil Barons. Hodge scored 6 goals and 9 assists for 15 points through six games in March.
Hodge (Calgary, AB) compiled a five game multi-point streak through the month and earned two Viterra Star of the Game awards. On March 13th, Hodge posted a season high 5-point game to earn his third Star of the Game selection for the 2021-22 season, followed by a fourth selection on March 19th with a 2-point game and the game winning goal.
Michael was awarded as the Inter Pipeline AJHL Player of the Week from March 15th – 21st for his performance in a 5-point weekend versus the Spruce Grove Saints. The Oil Barons are riding a five-game win streak in their current series versus Spruce Grove.
The second year Oil Baron leads the AJHL in scoring with 19 points (6G, 13A), followed closely behind by teammate Hunter Lamb with 18 points (8G, 10A).
Michael Hodge, 20, has committed to Union College of the NCAA for the 2021-22 season.
