Oiler Hartley Commits to RDC

The Okotoks Oilers are pleased to announce that Connor Hartley, a 20-year old forward from Red Deer, AB will be pursuing his education and furthering his hockey career at Red Deer College playing for the RDC Kings of the ACAC.

Connor joined the Oilers early in his first Junior A season after starting with the Vernon Vipers of the BCHL.  Connor finished his junior career with the Oilers with 39 goals and 88 points in 151 regular season games played.

“Connor's contribution to the Oilers organization goes far beyond goals and assists as he was a big contributor to the Oilers success in his three seasons played.  Connor is an excellent two-way, team first hockey player who would always do whatever it took each and every night for his team to be successful.  Connor had a number of post-secondary options but ultimately location, opportunity and academic pursuits lead Connor to RDC.  Connor’s talent, leadership, on and off-ice contributions to the Oilers program will be missed,” stated Oilers Head Coach James Poole.

Red Deer College Kings Hockey will be going into their second season in the ACAC after being re-instated to the league in the 2013-2014 season.

The entire Oilers organization would like to congratulate Connor and his family on this accomplishment and wish him the best of luck as he moves on to the next level of his hockey career and education.

Connor is the 7th player from the 2013-2014 Oilers committed to a post secondary hockey program.
