Oilers Hire Business and Hockey Operations Manager

The Okotoks Oilers of the Alberta Junior Hockey League, are proud to announce the hiring of Brad Robson, effective immediately to the position of  President of Business and Hockey Operations.

Brad, who is from Calgary, Alberta, comes to the Oilers with an extensive background in every facet of the hockey business. Brad spend 31 years with the Calgary Police Service before retiring in 2009. His hockey background includes; 18 years as the Western Canada Scout for the NHL's Minnesota North Stars and Dallas Stars, winning a Stanley Cup with the Star's in 2000. Upon his retirement from the Calgary Police Service, Brad  moved on to the Lethbridge Hurricanes, of the Western Hockey League in the capacity of Assistant GM and Director of Player Personnel, from 2009 to 2013, and then the Hurricanes General Manager from 2013- 2015.

Wayne Lauinger, President of the Oilers Board of Directors stated, “Brad's position is one the Oilers Board has considered for the past 5 years, but the right person just didn't surface, and when Brad became available there was no question his extensive background in the total operation of a hockey club made him the obvious choice. We are very excited to have Brad on board and look forward to a very positive future on and off the ice”.
