The Okotoks Oilers Junior ‘A’ Hockey Club is proud to announce that 19-year old center Jordan Xavier has committed to the NCAA Division I University of Alaska Anchorage Seawolves, members of the WCHA (Western Collegiate Hockey Association).
The Oilers were excited to add Xavier to the line-up in December, a three year veteran of the AJHL who has a knack for scoring. With a season total of 50 points, 23 goals and 27 assists, there hasn’t been any disappointment in his performance.
He is a dynamic player both on and off the ice, who never stops competing. Bringing his leadership traits to the table, Jordan has been a big piece of our success this season. Being involved in community initiatives like our RCMP D.A.R.E. and Big Brothers programs, the Oilers have had an opportunity to benefit from this character player both in the dressing room and within our local community.
The Okotoks Oilers organization is excited for both Jordan and his family and look forward to having him play a major role for our team as we move into our playoff run and for the remainder of the 2016-17 season. We wish Jordan all the success as he joins the Seawolves roster for the 2017-2018 season.
