The Okotoks Oilers are pleased to officially announce that Tanner Ockey will be team captain for the 2014 – 2015 season. Ockey, from Calgary Alberta, will be going into his 3rd season with the Oilers.
“The Oilers organization is very proud to have Tanner as team captain as he epitomizes everything we want our players to represent on the ice, at the rink and in the community,” states Head Coach James Poole. “Tanner is a team first player that wears the Oiler jersey with pride, is committed to being the best hockey player he can be every day, and will do whatever it takes for his team to win each and every night. Away from the rink, Tanner is a great ambassador for the Oilers hockey program with his commitment to being a good citizen within the community. Not only is Tanner a great role model for our younger players but is also a player that all Oiler fans & supporters can be proud to call their captain.”
