Oilers Over Bandits in OT Again

For the second time in a week the Okotoks Oilers defeated the Brooks Bandits in overtime in the Alberta Junior Hockey League's South Division Final.

On Monday night at the Pason Centennial Arena in Okotoks, twenty minutes south of Calgary, John Edwardh of Calgary scored at 6:39 of overtime from Mitch Collett to give the Oilers a 3-2 victory over the Bandits to give the Oilers a 2-1 series lead.

It has been an excellent postseason for Edwardh, who leads the Alberta Junior Hockey League with 11 playoff goals. Edwardh scored 18 regular season goals in 54 games and now has 11 goals in 12 playoff games.

It was also a solid night for Calgary native Chris Collins, who led Okotoks with two points (one goal and one assist).

Game four of the series is in Okotoks on Wednesday night. In the North Final, the Whitecourt Wolverines defeated the Spruce Grove Saints 4-3. Spruce Grove still leads the series 2-1.
