So much for getting a nice powder-puff game for the home opener.
The Okotoks Oilers will face the stiffest of tests right out of the gate when they host the Spruce Grove Saints Friday night (7 p.m., Pason Centennial Arena).
Oilers bench boss James Poole said that’s fine with him.
“That’s the way it worked out,” Poole said with a laugh.
“But you want a good game for your fans to come out and open the season with, and we definitely got that with Spruce Grove.”
