For the second straight year, the Okotoks Oilers have entered the first round of the Alberta Junior Hockey League playoffs as heavy favourites.
And for the second straight year, the underdog Olds Grizzlys have pushed them to the limit.
Seeded seventh in the AJHL’s South Division, the Grizzlys tied their best-of-five series with No. 2 Okotoks at 2-2 after a 6-2 win on Monday night. BJ Duffin and Ty Mappin each scored twice to lead the way for Olds. The fifth and deciding game is slated for Wednesday in Okotoks (7 p.m., Pason Centennial).
