NHL Central Scouting has added three Alberta Junior Hockey League players to its Players to Watch List. Defencemen Brinson Pasichnuk (Bonnyville Pontiacs) and Reece Soukoroff (Okotoks Oilers), as well as forward Riley Smith (Olds Grizzlys) were added to the list on November 7th
In September, two AJHL players were originally idenitifed on the NHL Central Scouting Players to Watch list, which lists the top 2016 NHL Draft Prospects. Forwards Taden Rattie (Calgary Mustangs) and Justin Young (Whitecourt Wolverines) were identified with a C Rating, listing them as a 4th/5th/6th round candidate.
Rattie (Airdrie, AB) is in his second AJHL season and has committed to Western Michigan University of the NCAA. Young (Leduc, AB) is entering his 2nd full season and is committed to the NCAA's University of Alaska-Fairbanks. Pasichnuk (Bonnyville, AB) is a second year veteran of the Pontiacs has committed to the University of Vermont.
