The Sherwood Park Crusaders are proud to announce that 20 year old Defenseman Dan Phaneuf will be the team’s Captain for the 2014-2015 AJHL Season. In 107 career games the Edmonton, Alberta native has 9 goals and 33 assists and 315 PIM’s.
“Dane he has a lot of characteristic that really appeal to the dressing room and coaches, he’s such a dominant personality that he can lean on guys but also demands that out of himself, I think it’s a different captain than we had the last couple of years…its our job to help Dane and the leadership group take that next step.” Says Crusaders Head Coach and GM Tim Fragle on naming Phaneuf as Captain.
The leadership group will be rounded out with 6 Assistant Captains. 3 at Home 3 on the Road. Those will be named at a later date.
