The Bonnyville Pontiacs are pleased to announce the hiring of Tara Cook of Winnipeg, Manitoba in the position of Athletic Trainer. The position become available when long time trainer Kim Sydora took a step back after a number of years in that position.
Tara comes to Bonnyville as a Certified Athletic Therapist with the Canadian Athletic Therapists’ Association. She graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Kinesiology – Athletic Therapy with Distinction. She also comes to the Pontiacs as a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Tara brings experience in both men’s and women’s hockey – recently she was the Head Athletic Therapist for Team Manitoba at the Under-18 Women’s Ice Hockey Championship in Quebec.
With the hiring of Tara the Pontiacs have now completed the restructuring of both the hockey and business departments of the organization.
