Pouliot Commits To York University

With their fourth commitment of the 2018-2019 season, the Storm are proud to announce that 1998-born defenceman Xavier Pouliot (St-Isidore, QC) is Ontario-bound. Pouliot has committed to play for the York Lions of the USports league.  Pouliot joins four other AJHL alumni on the York Lions men's hockey roster.

After winning the Storm's Playoff Performer Award, Pouliot is sure to play a big role in the future of the York Lions as they look to rebound frpm a 13-21-0 record in 2018-19 after being well over .500 the previous three years. Pouliot led the AJHL with 336 PIMS, but adjusted his game in the playoffs with 4 points in 4 games in a first round exit to the Fort McMurray Oil Barons.

Widely regarded as the fan favourite with the Storm, the 6'2″, 215 pound defenceman will be sorely missed in Grande Prairie, but we wish him all the best in his next hockey chapter!
