The Canalta Hotels AJHL Player of the Week is Wolverines forward Tyler Pretty with nine points (3G, 6A) in two wins from February 16th-22nd.
Pretty scored a goal and collected three assists on February 20th as the Wolverines dominated the Bonnyville Pontiacs with a 10-3 win. He then recorded a career-high five-point game with two goals and three assists on February 21st in a 6-3 win over the visiting Devon Xtreme. Tyler also recorded his third game winning goal of the season in the victory. The 2005-born centre has 31 points (9G, 22A) in 26 games.
The Whitecourt Wolverines have clinched a spot in the 2026 Inter Pipeline Cup AJHL Playoffs and sit first in the Bunge AJHL North Division.
Taynton Lavender of the Drayton Valley Thunder is the Alberta Ford Dealers AJHL Defensive Player of the Week for a third time this season. The 2006-born defenceman posted four points (2G, 2A) in two games and was selected as the Bunge AJHL Player of the Game in both outings.
The Thunder defence held the Calgary Canucks to a 2-1 final on February 21st with Taynton picking up an assist in the loss. The team recorded a comeback win the next day in Olds as Lavender scored two goals and an assist in a 6-3 victory versus the Grizzlys. Taynton Lavender leads the Drayton Valley Thunder with 40 points (13G, 27A) through 37 games.
The Thunder remain in a three-way battle with the Canucks and Grizzlys for the last post-season spot in the Bunge AJHL South Division.
The Inter Pipeline AJHL Rookie of the Week is Grande Prairie Storm defenceman Reily Pickford with four points (1G, 3A) and a career-high performance for the 18-year-old.
Pickford (Chauvin, AB) scored his fifth goal of the season and added three assists in a 9-2 home win for the Storm on February 22nd versus the Devon Xtreme. Reily has recorded three goals and seven points through the month of February for a total of 21 points in 40 games played.
The Grande Prairie Storm have gone 16 games without a regulation loss at 15-0-0-1 and have clinched a spot in the 2026 Inter Pipeline Cup AJHL Playoffs.
