After an exciting season that ended with the Brooks Bandits defeating the Spruce Grove Saints in five games in the AJHL finals, the Saints held a camp this past weekend to checkout prospective players.
“It went really well,” said head coach and general manager, Jason Mckee. “It was well attended and we had a lot of good young prospects come. I think the players enjoyed the camp, the set up, and for us as coaches it was a chance to watch them over an extended period of time, and to have them all together at once, it was good for us.
“It really served its purpose for us to identify some of the top young players in the Edmonton area and throughout Alberta.”
Who are the top players in Alberta? Well, coach Mckee wouldn’t let any names out. He was definitely impressed, but he’s not willing to release any particulars just yet.
