Quinn Olson, Okotoks Oilers Named to Team West as Replacement

CALGARY, Alta. – The Canadian Junior Hockey League, in partnership with the National Hockey League and Hockey Canada, as well as in conjunction with NHL Central Scouting, announced Friday a change to the Team West roster for the upcoming CJHL Prospects Game, which goes Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at 7:30 p.m. MT at Pason Centennial Arena in Okotoks, Alta.

Added to the Team West line-up from a ranked list of alternates compiled and supplied by NHL Central Scouting is Okotoks Oilers (AJHL) left winger Quinn Olson.

The 17-year-old forward from Calgary, Alta., is currently riding an eight-game point streak in AJHL action with Okotoks and the University of Minnesota-Duluth NCAA D-I commit is playing over a point-per-game pace with the Oilers with 39 in 33 outings on 15 goals and 24 assists.

Olson is replacing Alex Swetlikoff, who was earlier named to the West roster, but has left the CJHL after signing on with the Kelowna Rockets of the Western Hockey League.
