A fantastic night at the Enmax Centrium on and off the ice… a wonderful celebration of Red Deer junior hockey history on Rustlers Heritage Night. Dozens of Rustlers alumni were on-hand to watch the Rebels, wearing replica jerseys honouring the 1980 Centennial Cup Champion Rustlers team, take on the Prince Albert Raiders.
Former Rustlers GM and Coach, and longtime Rebels season ticket holder, Cec Swanson dropped the puck for the ceremonial opening faceoff…. dozens of Rustlers alumni were in attendance at the game… including current Calgary Hitmen GM Kelly Kisio and Wynne Dempster, who appeared in the movie “Slapshot” while he was a member of the Johnstown Jets…
