Saints? Brandon Biro Named Alberta Ford Dealers Player of the Month

Spruce Grove Saints forward, Brandon Biro, is the Alberta Ford Dealers AJHL Player of the Month for January 2016.  In 11 games played, Biro scored 13 goals and 10 assists for 23 points and 2.09 points per game.

Through the month of January 2016, Brandon Biro recorded 2 game winning goals, his second hat trick of the season and 8 multi-point games.  He was selected as the Viterra AJHL Star of the Game twice and ended the month on an active 5 game point streak.

Brand Biro (Sherwood Park, AB) is second in team scoring with 47 points (17th overall) and leads the league with 1.5 points per game.   The 17 year-old forward has committed to Penn State of the NCAA Division I.

The Saints are first overall in the Alberta Junior Hockey League Standings with 85 points and a record of 41-7-3.  Biro and the Saints are 9-1-0 in the last 10 games and have 9 regular season games remaining.  Spruce Grove is ranked 5th in the CJHL Top 20 Weekly Rankings for the second consecutive week.

The Alberta Junior Hockey League is pleased to partner with the Alberta Ford Dealers Association and will recognize the AJHL Player of the Month throughout the regular season.  The AJHL and Ford have also introduced the Alberta Ford Dealers Goalie of the Week Award for the 2015-2016 season.
