Saints Headed Back to AJHL Finals Against Bandits

The two big powerhouse teams in the Alberta Junior Hockey League over the last seven years have been the Spruce Grove Saints and Brooks Bandits, so it’s only fitting the two will face off again for the 2016 championship.

The Saints punched their ticket to the finals with a 4-1 victory in Game 5 over the Lloydminster Bobcats on Friday night to take their best-of-seven series 4-1.

Spruce Grove will now try to win their third-straight AJHL title, a feat that hasn’t been done since the Olds Grizzlys from 1992-94.
