Devon McAndrews scored at 4:56 of double overtime to lift the Spruce Grove Saints over the Sherwood Park Crusaders 6-5 in Alberta Junior Hockey League North Division semifinal action on Monday night.
The victory gives the Saints a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven series. Game 5 is Wednesday night at the Grant Fuhr Arena in Spruce Grove.
Garth Wallin opened the scoring for the Crusaders at the 5:57 mark of the first before Sean MacTavish tallied about five minutes later to send Sherwood Park to the first intermission with a 2-0 lead.
IIn the other North Division semifinal series, the Whitecourt Wolverines defeated the Bonnyville Pontiacs 6-1 Monday night to take a 2-1 series lead.
