The 2017 Gas Drive AJHL Playoffs will continue with the Division Semi-Finals kicking off on Friday night and games in Whitecourt, Brooks and Calgary.
After a first round bye, the Brooks Bandits will jump back into the fold and host the Olds Grizzlys (7) on Friday and Saturday night. The Oil Barons will also rejoin the game as they host the Bonnyville Pontiacs (4) on Saturday and Sunday. The Grizzlys upset the Canmore Eagles (2) to advance to the South Division Semi-Finals, while the Pontiacs (4) defeated a familiar foe in the Sherwood Park Crusaders (5) to move on in the North.
The Whitecourt Wolverines (2) and Spruce Grove Saints (3) will meet in the other North Division match-up after sweeping their opponents, the Grande Prairie Storm (7) and Drayton Valley Thunder (6) respectively. The Calgary Canucks (3) and Drumheller Dragons (6) went the full distance with the Canucks advancing with a Game 5 win to now face the Okotoks Oilers (4). The Oilers eliminated the Camrose Kodiaks (5) in the Divisional Quarter-Finals.
