NHL Central scouting has released a 'Players to Watch” list which provides NHL teams and fans an early glimpse of the top end North American and European prospects available for the 2014 Draft.
The 'Players to Watch” is a constantly evolving list tracking the 2014 Draft prospects over the course of the season. It is a league by league grading in alphabetical order indicating potential first round candidates as “A”, 2nd and 3rd round candidates as “B” and mid round candidates as “C”.
All “A” skaters have been identified as potential first-round picks, while “B” players are considered second- or third-round candidates. The players on the “C” list are thought to be fourth-, fifth- or sixth-round possibilities.

21 CJHL players were included in the list, up from 11 players in the preliminary rankings in September 2013.
A mid-season numerical ranking will be released in mid-January and include a North American list of seven rounds (210 players) as well as an International ranked list. Goaltender rankings of North American and International prospects will be listed separately.
The 2014 NHL Draft will be held June 27 & 28, 2014 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
