ST. ALBERT STEEL LAUNCH NEWLY REDESIGNED WEBSITE
– Professional, easy-to-use relevant hockey site –
ST. ALBERT, AB, October 25, 2010 — We are excited to announce the launch of our newly redesigned website http://www.steelhockey.ca, an online gateway devoted to steel hockey fans, players and their families. This site is the result of months of integrated hard work done by our team and RedShark marketing creating, designing, and analyzing the concept of a professional and relevant hockey site. The St. Albert Steel’s goal is to provide our visitors with an informative experience with the ease to navigate through the site.
The Steel has a well-established and well-recognized position in the community of St. Albert and required a website to clearly communicate their commitment to maintaining a high performance hockey program that is focused on athletes, education and the community as a whole. The customized solution for the Steel included an integrated campaign focusing on corporate branding strategies, visual re-design, content management, and search engine optimization solutions. Combined, these fundamentals unified the Steel’s message of community involvement, education, and entertainment. The new website showcases the organization’s position in the industry with a clean, professional design supported by a user friendly and informative communication site.

For ease of navigation, the home page has been better organized and will give users direct access to the section he/she wants to visit. There are 4 sections; Team / Stats, News, Schedule & Results, Tickets, Fanzone and Sponsorship. Each of the division further breaks into categories under which the desired information is listed. This makes searching easier and simpler. For the benefit of the users, there is also a vertical column menu on the left hand side that gives quick access to various information pages.
As a member of The Alberta Junior Hockey League, the Steel offers its athletes maximum exposure to scouts and the hockey community through national events, media exposure and high profile events such as the AJHL Showcase. This exposure results in opportunities for advancement to professional hockey, post-secondary scholarships and the opportunity to represent Canada at International Events. Established in 2007, the St. Albert Steel Junior A Hockey Club is committed to maintaining a high performance hockey program that is focused on athletes, education and the community as a whole
