Storm and Vandekamp Part Ways

Following two seasons as Head Coach and General Manager of the Grande Prairie Storm, Mike Vandekamp and the Storm have mutually agreed to part ways effective immediately.

The Storm are currently reviewing expressions of interest from candidates for the now vacant position and expect to announce a new Hockey Operations team in the very near future. No other changes to the Hockey Operations staff have been made, and in the interim, Ryan Carter will handle hockey operations along with assistant coach Chris Schmidt.

Mike Vandekamp is an elite coach with a long history of success in Junior hockey and the Storm thank him for his service to the team and wish him continued success in his future endeavours.

The Storm remain committed to providing our fans and the city of Grande Prairie a quality, community-minded organization that brings a sense pf pride to the region.
