Storm Shoot for the Cure

For the 7th year in a row there will be a definite pink hue in the Canada Games Arena.

The Grande Prairie Storm will be turning the rink pink as part of its annual Brekkaas Vacuum & Tank Shoot For The Cure Cancer Society fundraiser Friday when the team takes on the Olds Grizzlys in the Canada Games Arena at 7:30 p.m..

And once again the team will be wearing pink-themed jerseys. The first year of the Brekkaas event the team used pink sticks and the goalie wore a pink helmet.

The jerseys, as they do every year, have changed, and as always, the jerseys –will be auctioned off during the game and presented to the winning bidders after the game.

It has been a great partnership between Brekkaas Vacuum & Tank, the Cancer Society and the Storm, The Brekkaas Shoot For The Cure is one of the Storm’s main community fund-raisers and we’re hoping Storm fans will respond once again with their wallets and support this great event.

WestJet is also back on board sponsoring the Frisbee toss. Someone at the game will win a trip for two anywhere in the world WestJet flies. Frisbees are available for purchase in the foyer and from Cancer Society sellers around the rink and can be tossed onto the ice at a target with the closest winning the trip.
