John Szabo (Lethbridge, AB) earned the Bunge AJHL Player of the Game award on February 12th with two goals in a 5-3 win over the Calgary Canucks. The Eagles fell 7-1 to the visiting Bonnyville Pontiacs on February 14th in which he added an assist on the lone Eagles goal. John hit the scoresheet with two goals and an assist the next night in a 4-3 shootout loss versus the Lloydminster Bobcats. Szabo (2005) has 40 points (20G, 20A) in 40 regular season games.
The Canmore Eagles are the first team in the Bunge AJHL South Division to clinch a spot in the 2026 Inter Pipeline Cup AJHL Playoffs.
Olds Grizzlys goaltender Cole Prelusky is the Alberta Ford Dealers AJHL Defensive Player of the Week with a 2-0 record. The 2008-born rookie and draft pick of the Victoria Royals (WHL) has won his last three starts for the Grizzlys.
Prelusky (Calgary, AB) allowed just one goal against in both wins last week and earned the Bunge AJHL Player of the Game in the victories. On February 12th, Cole made 47 saves to defeat the visiting Bonnyville Pontiacs 2-1. He stopped another 41 shots the next day to hold off the Camrose Kodiaks in a 3-1 final.
Since joining the team in January, Prelusky has a 2.65 GAA and .932 save percentage with a record of 4-2-0-1 (W-L-OTL-SOL). The Grizzlys remain in the playoff hunt with nine regular season games remaining.
Gavin Harrison of the Bonnyville Pontiacs is the Inter Pipeline AJHL Rookie of the Week for a third time in the 2025-26 AJHL season. The 2009-born rookie forward scored a hat trick and collected five points (3G, 2A) to hold the lead in the AJHL rookie scoring race.
Harrison (Cold Lake, AB) recorded his second hat trick of the season, including his first game winning goal, and an assist in a 7-1 road win over the Canmore Eagles on February 14th. The Swift Current Broncos (WHL) draft pick posted his 22nd assist of the season on February 15th when the Pontiacs finished their three-game road trip with a 4-2 loss in Calgary.
Gavin Harrison leads all AJHL rookies with 44 points (22G, 22A) and nine games remaining in the Pontiacs search for a spot in the post-season.
