Thomas Commits to the University of Alaska-Anchorage

The Spruce Grove Saints are proud to announce that first year Saint, Jordan Thomas, has committed to play for the University of Alaska-Anchorage Seawolves, a member of the NCAA Div.1 WCHA Conference. Jordan came to the Saints after graduating from the Canadian Athletic Club in the AMHL.  So far in his first season as a Saint, Jordan has 3 goals and 6 assists for 9 points and 18 PIMs in 18 games.

“Jordan is a smooth skating, puck moving defensemen that has really come in and helped solidify our back end so far this year.  As a first year player, Jordan plays a lot of crucial minutes for us, and is developing nicely in the first couple months of the season,”  stated Saints Head Coach Jason McKee. “We look forward to continuing to work with Jordan to help his development and his eventual departure to the NCAA”.

“I would like express my gratitude to all the people who have helped me develop and become the player and person who I am today,” says Thomas.  “Thank you to my family, my friends and all of my coaches and teammates.  I am very proud to be a part of the Saints organization, and I am truly thankful they have given me this opportunity to grow and develop to be a better player and person.  I look forward to all the upcoming challenges and growth in my career in my pursuit of becoming a University of Alaska – Anchorage Seawolve.”

The Saints organization would like to congratulate Jordan and his family on this step in his career and wish him continued success moving forward.

Jordan is the 1st Saint to commit to commit to a post secondary institution this season.
