There is a three-way tie atop the Viterra Cup Standings at the conclusion of December 2017.  Three forwards from the Viterra AJHL North Division have each collected the Viterra AJHL Star of the Game award eight times to lead standings with 40 points.

Chris Van Os-Shaw (Spruce Grove Saints), Ryan Cox (Sherwood Park Crusaders) and Justin Bernier (Grande Prairie Storm) enter 2018 with the shared lead in a battle for the 2017-2018 Viterra Cup.  Van Os-Shaw and Bernier both lead their teams in scoring with 52 and 53 points respectively; Cox is second in team scoring with 39 points.

Cox and Van Os-Shaw held their place on the leaderboard from November with two Viterra AJHL Star of the Game selections in December.  Bernier broke into the top of the standings with three Star of the Game selections in December and is among the leaders for the first time this season.
