Thuder Hire New Assistant Coach

Drayton Valley Alta. – Drayton Valley Thunder are pleased to announce that they have hired Derek Wiest as the organizations new Assistant Coach.  Derek comes from a hockey family, his grandfather owned the Former AJHL Red Deer Rustlers and he has 2 uncles who currently work for the Carolina Hurricanes in the NHL.  Derek has coached Minor hockey at the Bantam and Midget level and for the past three seasons has been the Head Coach of the very successful Junior B Coaldale Copperheads, in Coaldale Alberta.
